Lakers score big Game 1 win on the road


A three-goal run to start the second period cemented a 14-10 win for the Peterborough Lakers over Brooklin Lacrosse Club Tuesday.

The Lakers now lead the best-of-seven MSL semifinal series 1-0.

In the first period, both teams put on an offensive display scoring six goals each. Joe Resetarits and Holden Cattoni each scored twice, with Thomas Hoggarth and Colton Armstrong adding singles.

Taylor Jansen, Austin Hasen, and Hoggarth put the Lakers into the lead, before Holden Cattoni and Jansen added goals. Connor Kearnan and Dawson Theede responded for BLC.

Rob Hellyer, Hoggarth and Jake Withers added third-period insurance. Tanner Cook and Reilly O'Connor responded for BLC.
